Rafael Correa llegó a Cuba para visitar a Chávez: “Toda la patria grande está con él” / Rafael Correa arrived in Cuba to visit Chavez: "All the great nation is with him"

 
NOTIFAL/ (VENEZUELA) Coro, Estado Falcón.- El presidente de Ecuador, Rafael Correa, llegó este lunes a La Habana para visitar a su “hermano” venezolano, el presidente Hugo Chávez, quien será sometido en la isla a una nueva cirugía contra el cáncer que padece desde 2011.

“Vengo a ver a un hermano”, declaró Correa a la prensa a su llegada al aeropuerto internacional de La Habana, donde fue recibido por el canciller cubano, Bruno Rodríguez.

El gobernante ecuatoriano añadió que “vinimos a darle un abrazo (a Chávez) en nombre de la patria ecuatoriana“, en “un gesto de solidaridad con un hermano de corazón”.
Explicó que viajó a la isla “obviamente por solidaridad” porque Hugo Chávez “es un colega latinoamericano” y “tiene un grave problema de salud”.

También definió al mandatario venezolano como “un presidente histórico” y un “querido amigo”.

“Los amigos se acompañan en momentos de adversidad” 

 

Correa, que propugna el llamado “socialismo del siglo XXI” junto con Chávez, llegó a la isla acompañado por el canciller ecuatoriano, Ricardo Patiño, y el secretario (ministro) de Comunicación, Fernando Alvarado.
“Los amigos se acompañan en momentos de adversidad“, escribió Patiño en Twitter.
El gobernante ecuatoriano había anunciado este lunes a través de su cuenta en la red social Twitter que viajaría a Cuba para visitar a Chávez.

“Buenos días a tod@s. Partiendo hacia La Habana para visitar a Pdte. Chávez. Toda la Patria Grande está con él! Feliz semana!“, expresó entonces Correa.

Chávez, quien llegó en la madrugada de este lunes a La Habana, será sometido en los próximos días a su cuarta operación contra un cáncer que le fue detectado a mediados de 2011, tras anunciar el sábado una recurrencia y que esa cirugía era “absolutamente imprescindible”.

"I come to see a brother," said Correa told reporters on arrival at the international airport of Havana, where he was welcomed by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.



The Ecuadorian president added that "we came to embrace him (Chavez) on behalf of the Ecuadorian homeland" in "a gesture of solidarity with a brother in heart."

He explained that he traveled to the island "obviously out of solidarity" because Hugo Chavez "is a Latin American colleague" and "has a serious health problem."



Venezuelan President also defined as "a historic president" and a "dear friend."
"The accompanying friends in adversity"


Correa, who advocates called "XXI century socialism" with Chavez arrived to the island accompanied by Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño, and Secretary (Minister) of Communication, Fernando Alvarado.

"The accompanying friends in times of adversity," he wrote on Twitter Patiño.

The Ecuadorian president announced Monday via their account on the Twitter social network to travel to Cuba to visit Chavez.



"Good morning to everyone s. Starting to Havana to visit Pres. Chavez. All Patria Grande is with him! Happy week! "Said Correa then.



Chavez, who arrived in the early hours of Monday in Havana, will be submitted in the coming days to his fourth operation for a cancer that was detected in mid-2011, after announcing on Saturday a recurrence and that surgery was "absolutely essential ".
