NOTIFAL/ (VENEZUELA) Coro, Estado Falcón.- El ministro de Comunicación e Información, Ernesto Villegas, leyó un comunicado emitido por el Ministerio de Relaciones Extreiores, rechazando las declaraciones del mandatario de Estados Unidos Barack Obama, acerca de su homólogo Hugo Chávez, las cuales calificó de indignantes. Villegas aseguró que dichas declaraciones son parte de la "política de agresión e irrespeto contra nuestro país".

"En este momento de sensibilidad especial para las venezolanas y venezolanos, el Gobierno de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela exige respeto al presidente de los Estados Unidos y los funcionarios de su Gobierno, por la dignidad del pueblo de Venezuela, de sus instituciones y muy especialmente por la persona del Comandante Hugo Chávez", señaló.

 A su salida del consejo extraordinario de Ministros Villegas también se refirió a la evaluación positiva que hizo el tren ministerial sobre las venideras elecciones de gobernadores del 16 de Diciembre. Indicó que respaldan al consejo Nacional electoral y al Plan República, en quienes confían plenamente para el feliz término del proceso. Aprovechó la oportunidad para invitar a los electores a ejercer su derecho al sufragio.
